In the interest of transparency and in alignment with the principles of the EU Market Abuse Regulation (MAR, Regulation 596/2014) and its technical standards (Delegated Regulation 2016/958), we provide the following information about how our signals are generated.
8.1 Identity of Signal Producer
All signals displayed on Profunda are produced by automated algorithmic systems operated by Profunda. No human analyst intervenes in signal generation. The algorithms are designed and maintained by the Profunda development team.
8.2 Methodology
Signals are derived from statistical analysis of publicly available social media metrics (YouTube engagement, Twitter/X virality, Reddit discussion intensity) cross-referenced with cryptocurrency price data from major exchanges. The methodology uses walk-forward backtesting with out-of-sample validation to identify indicators with historically profitable signal-to-noise characteristics.
8.3 Facts vs. Opinions
All signals (BUY, SELL, NEUTRAL) represent algorithmic outputs based on observed historical correlations between social metrics and price movements. They are not expressions of opinion by any individual analyst or advisor. A "BUY" signal indicates that the algorithm has detected a pattern historically associated with upward price movement — it does not express a belief, recommendation, or conviction about future price direction.
8.4 Signal Validity & Horizon
Each signal has a defined evaluation window (typically 6 to 24 hours). Signals are re-evaluated on a regular schedule and may change as new data becomes available. A signal that was "BUY" may become "NEUTRAL" or "SELL" upon re-evaluation. Users should not assume that a signal remains valid beyond its stated evaluation window.
8.5 Conflicts of Interest
Profunda and its operators may hold positions in cryptocurrencies that are the subject of signals displayed on the platform. However, we do not engage in front-running: we do not trade based on signal outputs before they are published to subscribers. Signal generation is fully automated and not influenced by any positions held by Profunda or its operators.
